The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Odisha, entered the Guinness Book of Records for organizing the largest ever Laughter Yoga class. Held in Bhubaneswar, on August 291, 2017, the class was attended by 15,991 students from the largest tribal residential school in the world and which recently became a deemed university. The objective of this event is to create awareness about value of laughter and play in our education system.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KISS welcomed the eminent Laughter Guru Dr. Madan Kataria, who conducted the class. It was an incredible experience as the air resonated with thousands of participants laughing together. Dr. Samanta thanked the students and said they made the state and country proud by creating a world record.
The students of the university arranged themselves into a massive human formation reading We Urge For World Peace and set another Guinness record for the largest human sentence. They also created another one on the same day for the most simultaneous high-fives.
Among others present on the occasion was Madhuri Kataria, Smt. Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS; R. N. Dash, Secretary and Dr. P. K. Routray, CEO were also present on this occasion. This event was the pride of Odisha, glory of India and wonder of the world!
