I always knew there was something special about laughing. 
Schools sometimes give awards for things like being most likely to become a football star or best at math. I received an award for the person who laughs the most! Hahaha! 

😒As I grew up I started to laugh less, but something in my soul said to keep laughing. I wanted to know, do others laugh just because? No reason needed, just laughing because it feels good? A quick internet search brought me to Laughter Yoga. I began my journey to learn and share my love for laughing. 

✨ Laughter yoga was started by Dr. Kataria in 1995 at a park in Mumbai. Dr. Kataria and some friends created the first free social laughter club and it continues to grow across the globe. The information provided in the Laughter Yoga course highlights the physiological and physical benefits laughter that can provide and the end result is pure joy!

What to expect in a laughter yoga session

Warm-up exercises to get the lungs and body ready for a gentle workout. This is a great program for all physical capabilities because it is low-impact. 

Laughter exercises, with a group mimicking childlike playfulness. Laughing is like internal jogging for your body, it can provide catharsis relief, and this is helpful for releasing pain and tension.

Deep breathing exercises, by learning how to breathe effectively the body is able to perform necessary functions with ease.

Finally, cool down and relax. In order to see the benefits of laughter, one must rest. Your body will make newly formed connections while relaxing.
