My Profile
Celeste Greene is the Director of Laughter Yoga Atlanta and a certified Laughter Yoga Teacher. She helps groups of people attain improved wellness through an innovative laughter and deep breathing exercise called Laughter Yoga. This process enables people to achieve the physical, psychological, and emotional health benefits of laughter without requiring special exercise clothing or equipment, a sense of humor, or even a reason to laugh. Celeste entered into this line of work after a successful career as a marketing account manager._x000D_
Before discovering unconditional laughter, Celeste had previously performed weekly as an improvisational comic at Whole World Theatre. Since founding Laughter Yoga Atlanta in 2010, Celeste has facilitated Laughter Yoga corporate wellness, stress-management, and team-building programs with numerous clients, such as Georgia Pacific, GE Capital, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and Invesco. Celeste has also shared joyful wellness programs in various group settings, ranging from schoolchildren, and women’s groups, to those with late stage terminal illnesses. Additionally, she has facilitated hundreds of seated Laughter Yoga sessions exclusively with older adults, which inspired her to pursue a Master of Arts in Gerontology at Georgia State University, where she is currently leading a study aimed at further elucidating the therapeutic impact of Laughter Yoga in older adult populations._x000D_
Celeste trains people wishing to share unconditional laughter with others in her Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training Programs. She is the founder of the Third Thursdays Free Laughter Yoga Circle, a free monthly Laughter Yoga class designed to bring fun, health, and fellowship to the Atlanta community.
