Anna, Denmark: I had a very painful experience in February 2000 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had to be operated and had to under go chemotherapy. I was frustrated and angry. It was then I learnt about Laughter Yoga and thought it was the only way to come out of my pain.
I joined the laughter club in my area and soon started to perceive things in a different way. There was a remarkable change and I found myself much happier. I could laugh in between my chemo sessions and also left off taking the prescribed medicines as I felt they were not necessary. I’m now more open; I smile a lot at people and it makes me very happy when they smile back at me
